Washington County Information


Washington County Sheriff's deputies are dispatched on "Repeater 1". "Repeater 2" is used by municipal police, which are dispatched by sheriff (which includes the Slinger, Jackson and Kewaskum police departments). The sheriff’s dispatcher transmits on both Repeater 1 and Repeater 2, even though they may be communicating a unit on only one of the channels. Also, the dispatcher is unit 389 (Referring to their FCC call letters KSB 389). It sounds like this: 389 to 461 10-20 (389 is sheriff dispatch, 461 is unit # and 10-20 is location). The county signed a contract with TYCO-M/A COM to develop a Digital VHF Trunked Radio System. Click Here for more information about this system.
